ARCs and Character arcs

ARCs, or Advanced Reader Copies. More and more self-published people are using them to generate better results on Amazon and any other place they might self-publish. No one really wants to buy a book that doesn't have reviews, even free books are kind of a hit or miss with the no reviews on this book yet. I desperately want a min of 10 people to read and review my books when I am ready for preorder. I found some ARCs companies and I might have to go to them since I don't really have a backlog of readers for myself. It's mainly my fault for not advertising more but I have seen some people not use advertising and do well. Does that mean I am an exception to the rule? Probably not so I'll have to purchase a service to gain ARCs.

The second part of this blog is about how I am stressing about my characters. Also I'm noticing from reading a lot of reviews of other books, people are tired of a boss woman or just flat characters. Characters who are one dimension in so many ways and honestly I can't blame them. Even "Cotton Candy Books" need decent characters even if they are more on the one dimension way.
